An elderly couple have been arrested for engaging in examination malpractice in Asaba, Delta State
Fredrick Omorieve, a 66-year-old retired federal civil servant and his wife, Evelyn reportedly wrote the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) in one of the “miracle centres” operating in Edo state for their two children, (a male and female) by plain-clothes policemen working on a tip-off.
Omorieve and his wife who were arrested at the venue of the examination were however released on bail.
The couple after their first arrest were rearrested by the police on Saturday, September 12 at the Deeper Life Church street, Anwai road, Asaba as they were accused of jumping bail.
Alkali Baba Usman, the police commissioner in the state, confirming their arrest.
