Colombian forward, Radamel Falcao, has joined new money bags, Monaco of France, on a five-year deal, the French club has confirmed.
“Monaco are happy to announce that they have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid and the player Radamel Falcao,” the club said in a statement.“Falcao, 27, has signed for five season. He will be presented to the media and start training with the group at a date to be confirmed by the club.”
“I am very happy to join Monaco and very happy to wear these new colours,” Falcao said in a video message to fans.“We are very happy that Falcao has chosen the challenge of Monaco for the future. It’s a source of pride for us to have one of the best players in the world in the Monaco ranks.”
Monaco president, Dmitry Rybolovlev, said.The former Athletico Madrid of Spain striker is considered one of the hottest strikers in the world and helped Athletico to a Spanish Cup victory of Real Madrid.
He was chased by the biggest teams in Europe including Madrid,Chelsea, and Manchester City before opting for Monaco.Falcao is Monaco’s third major signing in an ambitious project for the new Russian owner who hopes to return the club to European glory. The first two were Joao Moutinho and Rodriguez of FC Porto.
