Suspected fake policemen have abducted the chairman of Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, Modu Guja,
The council boss was said to be arrested by people in mufti who introduced themselves as police officers.
Guja was said to have been kidnapped on Friday evening when some men drove on a tricycle to his residence in Maiduguri.
It will be recalled that Guja’s vice was arrested recently by the Army for allegedly hiding a member of Boko Haram sect at the residence of Mafa council boss.
It was gathered that his abductors are yet to make contact with his family or demand any ransom.
Guja’s abduction will be the first time a serving government official of Borno State would be abducted in the last four years.
