Nigeria information centres abroad will be reopened, Dr. Shade Yemi-Esan the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information, has revealed.
She disclosed this to newsmen after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.
She pointed out that the president expressed the belief that the move was necessary towards improving the image of the country.
Dr Yemi-Esan said President Buhari also sought for better welfare for journalists in the country and total fight against piracy in order to boost welfare of Nollywood stars.
Esan who also revealed that signals coming from the controversial Radio Biafra have been successfully jammed by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC , further noted that President Buhari frowned at the conditions of Journalists and other media practitioners whose salaries are being delayed or unpaid.
