A bomb blast has been reported at the Federal College of Education, Kano, with 15 persons confirmed dead.
Scores are said to have been injured in the incident.
The blast occurred at about 1.30pm in a classroom while lecture was on.
Naijalog learnt that suspected Boko Haram members entered the College and started shooting sporadically before a suicide bomber entered the classroom and set himself ablaze.
A reliable source in Kano told Naijalog on phone that the attackers hit the school with explosives and followed this up with gun attacks on Wednesday afternoon as the students fled in different directions to escape from the explosions.
It was also gathered that students and workers at the Federal College of Education in the Kofar Kabuga area of the city fled in panic as shots rang out and an explosion ripped through the campus at about 2:00 p.m.
Armed security men were seen heading to the college.
