Mohbad, the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, who passed away under mysterious circumstances, has posthumously received two awards in Ghana. The Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards in Ghana recognized the artist, who died at the age of 27, as the Supreme African Street-Hop Artist of the Year and awarded his song “Beast and Peace” as the Supreme African Song of the Year. The singer was expected to receive the award nomination and approval letter before his untimely demise in controversial circumstances.
In tribute to the late artist, the organizers of the prestigious awards also introduced a new category named after him, which will be presented annually to outstanding artists. He was posthumously honored as the Supreme Imole Rookie Street-Pop Artiste of the Year.
Since Mohbad’s passing, numerous celebrities have called for justice, and some individuals have been arrested and detained in connection with the case. The police investigation revealed that the singer had received three injections, leading to his demise.
