Survivors of the unfortunate Incident that claimed the lives of a groom and others, are responding to treatment at Agbata Memorial Hospital, Adani, in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The resident doctor, Dr. Agbata disclosed this when chairman of the council, Hon Celestine Nnadozie, visited the hospital on Wednesday, August 31.
The groom, Obinna Dieke and five relatives died on Saturday August 27, at Eka Utara, Adani community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the state after his traditional wedding.
Eight others including his bride, mother, and sister were rushed to the hospital where they have been receiving treatment.
The doctor said the affected children have fully recovered while the adults among them are responding speedily to treatment.
Dr. Agbata further expressed optimism that in no distant time, everyone of them, will fully recover.
Hon Nnadozie, while expressing his grief, thanked God for the survival of the rest of members of the family and urged them to trust God because he knows best.
Meanwhile, pathologists have since been sent to Aru Ike Ndi Oria mortuary, where the bodies were deposited, at the instance of the chairman to collect samples for autopsy.
