Due to the probable fear of contracting the deadly Ebola virus, a young woman identified as Bunmi allegedly smashed a beer bottle on a man’s head for hugging her in Ajah area of Lagos State.
She was said to have been angry when her friend, Ademola Ojikutu, who tried to embrace her from behind without her consent.
Blood gushed out from his head and people had to rush him to a nearby hospital in the area.
Her elder sister, Yemi, told Leadership newspaper, that ever since the outbreak of Ebola in Nigeria, her sister had since refused to shake anybody including her (Yemi).
“We were discussing at Ilaje area when Ojikutu held her from behind. Bunmi was enraged and, out of anger, picked a bottle from a nearby beer parlour and smashed it on his head. Yes, I am not happy about what my sister did but the man was also wrong to hold her from behind after all she is not his lover,” she said.
