However, three new suspected cases were reported in Kaduna, however none of them have been confirmed to have EDV.

Meanwhile palpable fear gripped Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Monday, over the case of suspected Ebola virus disease in the state capital.

The case was reported to have been detected at the Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan, on Monday. There were rumours that a baby was affected.

An epidemiologist with the state Ministry of Health, Dr Abass Gbolahan, has, however, said the state was awaiting the result of a laboratory test to ascertain if it was, indeed, an Ebola case and said the person under surveillance was not a baby

He said blood samples from the person had been collected and sent to the virology laboratory at the UCH, Ibadan.
