New developments have surfaced surrounding the arrest of controversial social commentator, VeryDarkMan, with fresh claims suggesting the Department of State Services (DSS) was responsible—contradicting earlier reports pointing to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Previously, Gistreel reported that VeryDarkMan was apprehended in Abuja by unidentified security agents, with little information made public at the time.
However, according to popular entertainment blogger Cutie Juls, the arrest was carried out by DSS officials. She revealed that prior to this, the EFCC had issued six separate invitations to the activist—information that was allegedly known to his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
Cutie Juls further stated that following the DSS’s involvement, the EFCC requested that he be handed over to them for further investigation. The arrest is reportedly tied to an ongoing money laundering case involving a woman linked to VeryDarkMan through monitored conversations.
