Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has opened up about why he’s taking his time when it comes to marriage, revealing that divorce scares him especially the financial risks that come with it.
According to the Mavin Records boss, many men lose a huge chunk of their wealth after separation, particularly those who failed to sign a prenuptial agreement.
“You will see someone that has worked all his life and now has to split his money because of divorce. I’m actually scared of those things. The money I have is for my generation,” he said, laughing.
The 41 Year-old producer also mentioned that although he has been in relationships before, he is currently single and waiting for the right partner.
“I’ve actually dated before. Currently, I’m single. I’m scared, though God’s time is the best. I just want the right person, even though I’m not sure if I’m the right person for somebody’s daughter,” he said.
Some fans reacted to his confession with humor and support. One social media user wrote, “Baba don talk true. These divorce stories dey fear person.”
Another joked, “Na Hakimi package baba wan run be that.”
Others encouraged him to stay hopeful, assuring him that the right woman will eventually come.
His candid revelation once again shows why many admire him he’s open, funny, and relatable. For now, though, it appears Don Jazzy is not willing to gamble his hard-earned fortune for love anytime soon.
