Former President of Nigeria,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo said God has given the country many chances to become great. But he added that the nation has wasted all the chances.
Obasanjo has now beseeched God to give the country another chance, especially as the nation moves towards another election.
He urged Nigerians to do the “needful” during the election period.
Obasanjo said Nigerians should thank God for what the country has given to us but, “now need to invoke the spirit of God to lead,guide and protect us in the new year.”
The former President stated this yesterday when he received Governor Ibikunle Amosun,who paid him a New Year Day visit at his hilltop residence in Abeokuta.
The visit was part of the governor’s visits to some eminent Nigerians and traditional rulers in celebration of the new year.
