The ongoing paternity controversy over Liam, the son of the late singer Mohbad, has resurfaced after the child’s mother, Wunmi, issued a fresh statement addressing claims that she has been avoiding the DNA test requested by Mohbad’s father.

This update follows the recent disclosure by Mohbad’s father that the court case concerning the DNA has been reopened, adding that his son will not be laid to rest until the test is finalized.

Mohbad’s father has continued to cast doubt on Liam’s paternity and has taken legal steps to compel Wunmi to present the child for testing. Public reactions have repeatedly accused Wunmi of slowing down the process.

But in a new statement released through her legal representatives and posted on her Instagram page, Wunmi countered these accusations, asserting that Mohbad’s father is the one causing the delays.

She explained that the matter returned to court yesterday, where her father-in-law requested that the DNA test be carried out strictly at two hospitals of his choosing.

Wunmi stated that the court dismissed the request and threw out the application, ruling that the paternity test must be done at two neutral, unbiased hospitals where neither side has any personal connections.

She emphasized that this ruling contributed to the slowdown in proceedings and reaffirmed that she is fully prepared to follow the court’s instructions once independent hospitals are selected.
