Actor Deyemi Okanlawon from Nollywood has advised both men and women to avoid partnerships if they are in debt.
Deyemi, an actor, stated on his Twitter page that it is not advisable for either a man or a woman to start a committed relationship if they are not financially secure.
He asserts that now is the moment for a person to begin developing himself or herself to the point where independence is possible rather than suffocate in a committed relationship.
“If you’re not yet financially buoyant perhaps it is wise to take a break from a “serious” relationship and focus on building yourself… this message from the federal association of common sense is for men & women”.
“Everyone should feel free to love and date anyone at any time/stage of their lives if they so choose… but perhaps for more serious (intentional, committed) relationships you may want to approach things slightly differently?”
