Davido has announced a temporary break from music to focus on political activities in Osun State.
The singer revealed this during an event in Ede, where a youth campaign committee was inaugurated to support the re-election of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.
Davido explained that his decision to pause his career for 60 days is driven by his belief in the governor’s work and vision for the state, not just their family connection.
“I have put my musical career on hold for two months to come and work for my uncle. Not only because he is my uncle but because I believe in what he is doing and the work ahead.”
He has also been appointed as the chairman of the youth campaign committee, placing him in charge of mobilising grassroots support, particularly among young voters across the state.
In addition, Davido hinted that his family could shift focus back to their business ventures if the re-election bid does not succeed, sparking further conversations online about the political future of the Adeleke family.
