Davido Stands Against Political Violence, Dares Opposition
Reacting to the horrific incident on his official X account, the Afrobeats icon denounced the rising political tensions. With his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, standing as the Accord Party’s governorship candidate, Davido urged all stakeholders across the state to reject bloodshed, regardless of party lines.
Taking a direct swipe at the opposition, Davido challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rely on legitimate votes rather than intimidation tactics. “If the APC is sure they are popular, they should prove it through votes during the election and not via guns or weapons,” the singer stated emphatically.
Tensions Rise Ahead of 2026 Gubernatorial Election
