Renowned artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reflected on his musical journey after reaching a major milestone on Spotify.
The Afrobeat star recently hit over 11 million monthly listeners on the platform for the first time, a feat achieved following the release of his fifth studio album, 5ive.
In response to this achievement, Davido shared that he takes pride in having built his music career without any industry godfather or major co-sign. He emphasized that while many of his peers were backed by powerful figures in the industry, he carved his path independently.
Davido also credited his success to divine support and the unwavering loyalty of his fans.
He stated: “No co-sign, built from the ground up! Just God, good music and the best fans! Appreciate you guys fr [for real]!”
