The past few weeks have seen the duo of Wizkid and Davido constantly exchange spats via social media aside making conscious efforts to outdo each other a ‘drama’ their fans and the media have found interesting and seemingly enjoyed.
The latest twist to the drama is Davido’s announcement of his plans to release a few songs ahead of his sophomore album rumoured to be up for release sometime in 2015.
‘New records drop this week’ he wrote on his Twitter page yesterday and the announcement is coming three weeks after Wizkid released his sophomore album Ayo, which in a space of 18 hours clinched the number one spot on iTunes’ world music chart.
Pundits have since reacted, saying the success of Wizkid’s album could have been what has prompted Davido into head to the studio to release a total of 3 songs.
