Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, has officially named the road leading to the Dangote Refinery after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He made this announcement on Thursday during the commissioning of the reconstruction project for the Deep Sea Port Access Road in Lagos State.

Dangote also expressed satisfaction over the return of operations at numerous fuel stations that were previously inactive, emphasizing that the days of fuel scarcity are now over. He assured Nigerians that petrol queues are a thing of the past.

In addition, Africa’s wealthiest man addressed concerns over fuel prices, asserting that petrol is not overpriced in Nigeria. He noted that the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is much higher in other African nations.

“The majority of fuel stations that were not working, they are now back to work; there is no more shortage, no more queues, and there will never be,” he said.

“Some people here in Nigeria might think that petrol at less than N900 is expensive, but there is nowhere in West Africa where petrol is not selling above $1, which is N1,600,” Dangote added.

Currently, the pump price of petrol in Nigeria ranges between N800 and over N1,000.
