Popular socialite Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, has reacted to his recent loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orlu East Imo State House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Earlier reports claimed the businessman secured only 14 votes during the primary election, losing the ticket to the incumbent lawmaker, a development that sparked widespread reactions and mockery across social media.
In an earlier statement, Cubana Chief Priest maintained that he stepped down from the race after discovering it was not yet the turn of his local government area to produce a candidate for the position.
However, during a recent live session with TikTok influencer Peller, the socialite appeared to offer a different explanation regarding the outcome of the election.
According to him, political bias may have played a role in the result, as he suggested that the administration of Bola Tinubu might not fully trust him because of his ethnic background and his previous support for opposition presidential candidate Peter Obi.
The comments have since generated fresh reactions online as debates continue over the APC primary election outcome.
