Abuja – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) begun investigation on Tuesday into the suspected cases of cholera outbreak in Mpape area of Abuja.
The Director of the centre, Prof. Nasidi Abdulsalam, said that the situation will not be declared as an outbreak until the laboratory result is out.
“The NCDC has sent its team of personnel to investigate it to confirm if it is actually cholera or something else.
“For now, we cannot say it is outbreak of cholera as the result has yet to be confirmed.”
“However, the situation is under control,’’ he states.
