Chiwetel Ejiofor is the hot favourite to win best leading actor at the 2014 British Academy Film Awards( BAFTA).
He was nominated for his role in the movie ’12 Years a Slave’. The film itself in line to take home the best film trophy for.
The slavery epic – which also stars Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt – is also a favourite to take home five of its ten nominations according to the bookies.
Ejiofor is up against Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks for the Best Actor in a Leading Role award.
The British Academy Film Awards are presented in an annual award show hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). It is often considered to be the British counterpart of the Academy Awards.
Since 2008, it has taken place in Central London at the Royal Opera House, the latter having taken over from the flagship Odeon cinema on Leicester Square. The 67th British Academy Film Awards will take place on 16 February 2014.
