Talent manager Ubi Franklin has reportedly parted ways with the Adeleke family after being dismissed by Chioma Adeleke, the wife of Nigerian music star Davido.
Controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus made the revelation in an Instagram post, claiming that Ubi Franklin has been facing difficulties since his alleged removal.
According to her, Chioma’s decision was influenced by multiple controversies surrounding Ubi’s financial dealings within the music industry.
“Former music label executive Ubi Franklin is going through a tough time… Beyond being called out for allegedly owing millions, insiders claim that Davido’s wife, Chioma, has relieved him of his managerial role due to the embarrassment caused by these allegations,” the blogger stated.
Adding to the speculation, members of Davido’s 30BG crew reportedly ignored Ubi Franklin’s birthday on Sunday. Unlike previous years, there were no public birthday tributes from Davido, Chioma, or other close associates.
This development follows Ubi Franklin’s recent disagreement with rising singer Spyro over unpaid royalties. In an interview with Echo Room, Spyro accused Ubi of withholding $5,000 from a performance in Ghana.
In response, Ubi denied the allegation, stating that Spyro actually owed him money. He explained that he had introduced the singer to a car dealer and was supposed to receive a 10% commission, which was never paid.
Spyro later took to Instagram to flaunt his wealth, stating that he had been blessed by God without needing to pay the disputed commission.
