Earlier today, some online news medium claimed that some of the Chibok girls kidnapped by the extremist Boko Haram sect in April have been released.
They allegedly based their reportage on a statement by the Defence Headquarters, purportedly written by Brig. Gen. Christopher Olukolade, Director of Defence Information.
However, few after the news broke, the military have denied issuing ant statement to that effect.
Defence Headquarters refuted the earlier claim associated to its spokesperson via this tweet
