Charly Boy has spoken again about his controversial clash with former Rochas Okorocha during his father’s burial ceremony in 2014.
During a recent interview, the veteran entertainer recalled the moment he collected the microphone from the former governor while he was addressing guests at the event.
According to Charly Boy, he believed the occasion was being turned into a political campaign, something he strongly opposed at the time.
“Mmhmm. Is that a cr!me? I for don sl@p am. He wanted to use my father’s burial as a campaign for politics. And you don’t do that. Not when I’m around,” he said.
He further stated that he asked Okorocha to leave the venue, stressing that the former governor understood he was in his territory despite arriving with security personnel.
The interview also revisited the tense exchange that happened during the funeral, which drew widespread reactions years ago.
