In a series of social media updates, the streamer compared the living standards and infrastructure of the UK to Nigeria, sparking widespread conversations online.
Comparing the UK and Nigeria’s Infrastructure
Reflecting on his experiences abroad, Carter Efe lamented the slow pace of development in Nigeria. He bluntly remarked that his home country feels like it is “still in 1996” due to a severe deficit in basic infrastructure and systemic challenges.
According to the comic act, many of the modern infrastructural wonders he encountered in the UK were developments he had previously only seen on television screens. “For those of you who haven’t traveled, the UK is a good place,” he stated. “Nigeria is still in 1996, they are using us in Nigeria. No good infrastructure. The things I saw in the UK, I only used to see them on TV.”
