President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a hand delivered appreciation letter to President Jacob Zuma of South Africa over the support given to Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, president-designate of the African Development Bank.
The letter was delivered to Zuma in Pretoria by Former Vice president Atiku Abubakar and chieftain of APC, in the company of Adesina.
Adesina, former minister of agriculture in Nigeria, won the keenly contested AfDB presidency with over 60 per cent of the vote.
Before the elections held, then as president-elect Buhari, also sent Atiku to ensure Zuma supports Akinwumi’s candidacy.
