Former head of state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has postponed his formal declaration to contest for the presidency at the 2015 elections.

Buhari was initially billed to declare yesterday, but his campaign organization has released a statement saying it has been postponed till Wednesday, 15 October.

He is expected to make a public announcement of his aspiration at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

The statement said, “The Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization has announced that the formal declaration ceremony by General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) of his intention to contest the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been postponed for one week.”

To emerge as the APC’s presidential candidate, Buhari has a tough test ahead, as he will have to defeat former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former governor of Kwara state, Bukola Saraki in the opposition party’s primary election.
