Buhari, in company with a few top leaders of the party, on arrival at the Asokoro residence of Atiku, reportedly went into a closed door meeting with him.

The session that ensued was held closed door and none of the parties at the meeting spoke to newsmen after the meeting.

However, a source told our correspondent that “In the next few days, APC will surprise all. That is what I can tell you for now,” a source close to the meeting said.

“As you can see, APC leaders are forging ahead after the primaries. Buhari is here to meet with the Turaki Adamawa for the way forward,” he added.

Abubakar contested the party’s ticket alongside Buhari, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo and the Publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Chief Sam Nda-Isaiah.
