Buhari issues 7-day deadline on workers’ pay

The Presidency has directed Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to compile the names of all public service employees who are being owed arrears of salaries and allowances within seven days.

A circular issued to that effect was released on Monday by  the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).

“The correct information should reach the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation on or before Monday September 21, 2015,” the circular stressed.

Meanwhile,  Labour Unions have expressed their joy at the government directive

so that they can be paid without further delay.
