Major General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday personally invited the Lagos State Governor to his official declaration of intent for the presidency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the Lagos House, Marina, yesterday.
Buhari will declare for the presidency on Wednesday 22 October after once postponing the event once.
Buhari who will likely contest again also said he will visit Oyo and Kwara States and go round the other States before Wednesday.
Fashola while commenting said: “Let me say that we are pleased to receive you. We feel honoured by your presence and God will honour you and His grace will continuously be sufficient for you in the undertaking that you are about to commit to”.
On Buhari’s team were former Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Silva and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai.
