President Muhammadu Buhari has approved that the Governing Councils of Federal Universities be exempted, for the time being, from the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government’s parastatals, agencies, institutions and government-owned companies announced on July 16, 2015.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

He said all Vice Chancellors of federal universities have been duly informed of the exemption.
