Former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has reacted to a statement by Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, who at the weekend said he was the godfather to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
Omisore said the comment was an attempt to implicate him on budget padding saga which had degenerated in the last few weeks.
His Media Adviser, Prince Diran Odeyemi, said: “Omisore is not a member of the House of Representatives and there is nothing wrong having friends across the country.
“So, if Omisore has friends across the country and somebody wants to rope him in in any issue, it is very unfortunate.
“Omisore is not a member of the APC and everybody knows that. As a senior colleague and former member of the Senate, he relates with virtually all politicians in this country. For somebody to accuse him of being a godfather to anybody is unfair.”
