The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, has reportedly been directed by a Nigerian court to pay ₦300 million for bail, according to Punch News.

As per the court’s decision, the ex-CBN governor is required to find two individuals, each capable of providing the same amount as a guarantee. These individuals must possess property ownership documents within the Maitama district.

In addition to the bail conditions, Emefiele must surrender all his travel documents to the court registrar and restrict his movements to within the Abuja Municipal Council boundaries. Until he meets the bail conditions, he will remain at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
