In a significant development, the Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted bail to the troubled former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele. The court has instructed that he be released to his legal representation and be presented in court as required.
Justice Adeniyi, the judge overseeing the case, has additionally mandated Emefiele to surrender all his travel documents to the court’s registrar. Justice Adeniyi emphasized the need to put an end to the extended period of detention.
