Details emerging from Adamawa State suggests that Boko Haram insurgents attacked to villages whisking away no fewer than 60 women, although other accounts says only 45 women including girls were abducted, on Wednesday.
Forty of the women were said to have been kidnapped at Waga Mangoro while 20 were reportedly abducted in the Grata area of the state.
Residents of the affected area, who escaped during the attack, confirmed the incident.
One of them said hundreds of insurgents overran the area on motorcycles and vans during a raid on Saturday, burning houses and abducting young women.
The federal government announced it had gotten the insurgents to agree to a ceasefire on Friday.
However, since then the terror group continues to destroy and wreck havoc in Nigeria’s beleaguered North-East region.
