President Goodluck Jonathan has issued a major directive to security agencies to commence mass recruitment in a bid to shore u personnel to stem the tide of growing insecurity in the country.
A highly placed source in the military disclosed that the recruitment drive will commence in May, though the president gave the order in March.
He noted that the army didn’t begin the recruitment immediately because of the need to expand training facilities in parts of the country.

The source explained that the army had assumed some traditional responsibilities of the Nigerian Police Force, especially in the North –East where many police facilities had been destroyed by insurgents.
