As at the time of filing this report, sympathizers were still trooping to the residence of the acting governor and that of his aide over Pa Wazintu death.

Bemoaning his father’s gruesome death, Tanko Wazintu, said: “My sister and step mother were forced to dig a hole to bury my father after being forced to sleep with his corpse for more that 72 hours.”

Meanwhile, investigation by Daily Sun revealed that the insurgents have been forcefully recruiting youths into the Islamist group.

One of the youths, Onyebuchi Romanus, said he escaped by the whiskers in Adamawa State.

Romanus, who hails from Ekwusigo Local Government Area in Anambra State, said it was the prayers of Nigerians that set him free from the sect considering the threat mounted on him by the insurgents when they realised that he was not interested in their membership.
