A day after the Federal Government announced a ceasefire deal with Boko Haram, the terror group has reportedly killed a total of nine persons fresh attacks, on Friday and Saturday, Reuters claim.
The Reuters report said that suspected insurgents killed at least one person and destroyed homes in Abadam village, while in another on Saturday morning, at least eight people were killed in Dzur village.
There is therefore the possibility that the attacks were masterminded by a Boko Haram faction negatively disposed to a peace deal, the agency report noted.
Nigerians continue to react to he news of the ceasefire with mixed reactions; while some expressed delight, others called for caution
