Popular Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda has shared insights into the challenges that come with fame, revealing that life was simpler before stardom.
In a candid chat on Channel Tweety7, the Cash App crooner discussed how being in the public eye has altered his lifestyle and added immense pressure, particularly as the main provider for his family.
He reflected on the drastic change in his personal freedom since becoming famous:
“I blew up at the age of 25. I only enjoy the celebrity lifestyle just a little. When I wasn’t a celebrity, I used to be more free and hang out with friends. But now, it’s like I’m in a box,” he said.
Bella also opened up about the financial and emotional responsibility he now carries:
“I am the major breadwinner of my family, that comes with a lot of pressure. It’s hard. The money has got to keep coming if not, I’m in trouble.”
Despite these challenges, Bella Shmurda revealed that his rise to fame wasn’t unexpected, as he had always been driven by a strong inner conviction:
“There’s this feeling. If you are going to make it, you will know and you won’t stop working. Naturally, you will be feeling it,” he added.
