Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has revealed that her triumph in the recently concluded reality show took her completely by surprise.
In a post-show interview with Arise TV, the 23-year-old star admitted that she never anticipated winning and was even casually dressed when she stepped on stage for the final announcement.
“Winning the reality show was shocking to me. Sincerely, I was not expecting to win.
Before I got to the stage, I was tense just hearing the crowd chant my name. I was shocked when I was announced the winner.
I wore crocs to the stage because I am not comfortable in heels. I did not even plan for the live show,” she said.
Imisi Opens Up on Battling Anxiety
Imisi shared that the moments leading up to the final announcement were filled with anxiety and tension, revealing that she struggled to stay calm backstage.
She expressed deep gratitude to her fans and supporters for their unwavering belief in her, saying her win was a clear sign that “grace truly speaks louder than effort.”

Imisi emerged as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, defeating her closest competitor, Dede, by a significant margin.
She was officially presented with the ₦150 million grand prize on Tuesday, which included ₦80 million in cash and a brand-new Innoson SUV, solidifying her place as one of the most remarkable champions in the show’s history.
