Uriel Oputa, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, has offered to adopt a baby who was found abandoned by the riverbank in Kogi State.

Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, a resident of the Ajaokuta area of Kogi State, shared a video of a baby girl discovered crying near the Niger Bridge by a community leader.

The leader mentioned that baby clothes and a wrapper were also found at the scene. The community intends to inform local government authorities and care for the baby until the mother is identified.

In the comments section of a blog that shared the video, Uriel offered to adopt the child and promised to provide excellent care if permitted.

It’s currently unknown if Uriel has contacted the relevant authorities to initiate the adoption process.

In 2023, Uriel disclosed her four-year struggle with amenorrhea, a condition characterized by the absence of menstruation during reproductive years.

The 36-year-old described this health challenge as the lowest point in her life, as doctors had suggested she might never be able to have children.
