The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed arrest of a notorious drug dealer, identified as Mr. Loveday Eferebo, in Bayelsa. During an interview on Monday, the Bayelsa State Commander,

Mr. Frank Hanachor, revealed that the most wanted 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon within the Yenagoa metropolis.

He further said “Loveday Eferebo as of the time of his arrest was found to be in possession of 38.9 grammes of crack cocaine as well as drug distribution paraphernalia including a drug weighing scale machine amongst others.
“This singular arrest almost equals the total quantity of cocaine seized in 2013.”

The NDLEA commander added that as of the end of 2013, the agency seized a total of 223.168.6kgs of different types of hard drugs.

He said during the period, the NDLEA arrested 249 suspects – 191 were males while 53 were female suspects.

“A comparison of the statistics of arrests and seizures for 2012 and 2013 showed that in 2012, a grand total of 132.730kg of various hard drugs were seized while in 2013 a total of 223.168kg of various hard drugs were confiscated”, he said.
