The cause of death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been determined by a toxicology examination that was completed in the United States. Reports from PUNCH Metro state that the examination was conducted to investigate internal factors, and a Lagos State Government official, who requested to remain anonymous, has confirmed that the results have been returned to Nigeria and a copy has been forwarded to the police.
The laboratory that would have conducted the examination was destroyed during the #EndSARS protest. As a result, the sample had to be taken abroad, and now that it has been brought back, it is up to the police to proceed with their investigation, charge those who need to be charged to court, and call on the government to prosecute.
An unnamed source within the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that the result arrived on Monday, but it is written in medical jargon. Therefore, the pathologists who carried out the autopsy will interpret the result in plain English. Once the interpretation is out, it will be announced through the office of the PPRO.
