Chike Ezekpeazu, also known as Chike, Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake, Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe Daniel, also known as Kizz Daniel, and Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake, have all joined the Globacom family as ambassadors.
In a festive ceremony on Friday, the trio was introduced at the Mike Adenuga Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos headquarters of the telecom giant. Glo stated that it had chosen the three because they are “role models who have gone through the grind to stand on the highest pedestal of their dreams.”
While Kizz Daniel earned a degree in Water Engineering from the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Asake graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts from the famed Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun State. Chike, on the other hand, is a Covenant University graduate in computer engineering from Ota, Ogun State.
The new ambassadors were chosen, according to Globacom, as part of the company’s 20th anniversary celebrations “to project the power of youth and enterprise and how much they can achieve with the right focus, passion, and dedication that can come from seeing others who have succeeded.”
“We strongly believe that a nation’s strength lies in the aptitude and potential of its youth, so this is very much a part of our tradition.”
According to the organization, “the engagement of these three stars as ambassadors “is aimed to reflect the best of Nigerians as models for younger people who are tirelessly seeking to excel.”
“In a time when good role models and mentors are hard to find, this is even more crucial.
“The goal is to inspire our teeming youths to aspire toward realizing their dreams by looking up to these ambassadors as mentors, not just to promote the growth of music, Nollywood, and sports, where we have been very prominent.”
In addition to being Nigeria’s largest corporate supporter of the arts and entertainment, the telecoms company has carved out a position for itself by being a pioneer in selecting young Nigerians with skill and entrepreneurship as ambassadors.
Globacom congratulated the trio and urged young people to follow in the footsteps of these three stars, who never gave up until they achieved their goals. Globacom further stated that this was “our way of inspiring a whole generation of young people with vision who can do better and achieve more without losing hope along the way, even when confronted with challenges.”
The business pledged to continue promoting the entertainment industry since it offered excellent opportunities to elevate Nigeria on the international stage and improve the lives of hardworking and gifted young people.
The new ambassadors thanked Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., Chairman of Globacom, for the honor bestowed upon them and pledged to uphold the company’s values at all times in order to represent the Glo brand.
