The new chief of army staff will spend the eid holiday with Nigerian troops waging war against Boko Haram in Yobe.
Tukur Buratai, a major general and new army chief who was announced the new army chief on Tuesday announced this after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday at the presidential villa.
Speaking to journalist after meeting with Buhari behind closed doors he said : “I don’t have anything to say for now. I am just a few hours on the job. With time we will be talking some more. I am going to Damaturu to spend the Sallah with our troops there.”
