Egypt has been able to successfully negotiate a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Isreal.

The news was happily welcomed by Palestinians as thousands of them took to the street of Gaza to celebrate.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas gave a speech from the occupied West Bank thanking Egypt the US and Qatar for their roles in making the agreement possible.
