Four shops, according to the investigations, were burgled with unsubstantial amount of money, laptops, Ipads and new sets of cloths carted away, while some items were said to have been destroyed.

Confirming the incident on phone in Lafia, the state capital, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPPRO), Cornelius Ocholi said the incident was not robbery but theft because the rightful owners of the shops had left before the thieves entered after them. He said the police immediately commenced investigation into the matter and perpetrators would be brought to book.
