Gunmen attacked a passenger boat in Bayelsa and shot one James Erewari, the driver to PDP House of Representatives candidate for Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency, Hon. Mrs. Marie Enenimiete Ebikake.
An aide to Mrs Ebikake, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, August 20, said the victim was was shot by the pirates along Boma Rice Farm on his way to Yenagoa from Twon Brass on Friday.
“Mr. James Erewari, the driver to the PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency, Hon. Mrs. Marie Enenimiete Ebikake was shot yesterday 19th August by Sea Pirates along Boma Rice Farm on his way to Yenagoa from Twon Brass. He is responding to treatment now. I’m wondering, a boat of 15 persons and only James Erewari was shot. I hope is not what I am thinking?” he wrote.
