Buildings belonging to members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto state were set ablaze by thugs loyal to the governor of Sokoto state, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko on Sunday, according to Sahara Reporters.
PDP thugs who support the Deputy Governor, Barrister Mukhtari Shehu Shagari also attacked APC members in retaliation using knives and cutlasses.
An eyewitness confirmed to SaharaReporters that All Progressives Congress (APC) thugs on motorcycles stormed a PDP youth joint in Runjin Sambo area and engaged them in a physical combat before setting the place ablaze.
The Deputy Governor who was appointed PDP party leader in Sokoto State has said that he will not defect to the APC.
